Californians Against Assisted Suicide is a broad based coalition of healthcare, disability rights, patients' rights and civil rights organizations that has successfully fought the legalization of assisted suicide in California since 2005.
Many of the groups and individuals in this coalition have fought much longer against the Kevorkian-type notion and fear that some lives are "not worth living." Members of our coalition have worked to improve and promote better end of life care like hospice and palliative care, as well as improving mental health care for people facing a new disability or illness.
